Coffee Musings
Under the Maple Tree
(Part 5)
Ø Prayer
and everything that we do must be directed to our God. However, prayer without
action is useless. Our piety must not end in the privacy of our encounter with
the Divine but must overflow in the way we treat our brethren. We forgive. We
serve. We love.
Ø Anniversary
is not just for lovers. Oh, I am sorry. Anniversary is for all lovers. Lovers
of life. Lovers of the goodness of others. Lovers of the goodness of God.
Ø Jesus
sees us not as who we are but who we can become. Sinners though we are, God
sees us as capable of repentance and therefore deserving of His forgiveness.
God's faithfulness and love to humanity is immeasurable, unconditional. We are
called to do the same.
Ø The
important thing is that we once loved sincerely and devotedly.
Ø Man’s
nature is goodness as we are “made in the image and likeness of God,” we are
capable of repentance and a real change of heart, a METANOIA.
Ø I
LOVE YOU. There are so much more than those words that I wanted to tell you.
But for now, that will suffice.
Ø A
simple "thank you" goes a long, long way. We must never be stingy
with expressing gratitude for even the smallest act of kindness we received
from another person - though we do not know the person, or we don't want to
talk to that person. Gratitude is a God-given virtue. Share.
Ø If
only we can return the memories of our friendship with the persons we once
loved who hurt us, then our heart will be at peace and be able to love again.
