Coffee Musings Under the Maple Tree

(Part 1)

*    I did not lose you. You lost me by ignoring and devaluing the love and the care I gave you. You lost the moon while you were busy counting the stars.

*    If only people knew how to value gratitude. Being kind and charitable is beneficial to both the giver and the receiver. That is also true to gratitude. A blessing acknowledged will multiply a hundredfold.

*    It is difficult to understand what the heart feels while the head is thinking a different one. Even more difficult is when the subject of the heart and of the head is one and the same person. Is it to forgive and try again? Or, is it goodbye and forget everything. Pray, do tell.

*    Regret permeates the soul to the point of wanting to end it all because the love and care that were sincerely given were wasted by deception and hypocrisy. When nothing is left, what is there to life for? Wasted and done.

*    A smile conveys happiness most of the time. There are times though that our smiles cover the deep sadness in our heart for having lost the one we so loved very dearly.

*    Wasted trust. Wasted love.

*    Disappointment leaves one breathless especially if it arises from a relationship that one thought was going well but actually was not. Its degree of intensity is as much as how much one person loved the other.

*    A Prayer: “Hear me, O God, I humbly ask of you. I am on the edge of giving up. My faith that You will not abandon me is the only reason that’s making me stay and fight on. I hold on to You alone, O God.”
