Musings Under the Maple Tree
(Part 16)
§
Nothing lasts forever.
People come and go.
Problems here and
there.
Solutions found in
prayer.
§
Life offers opportunities as vast as the oceans
and as deep as the seas. We only need to open our eyes and see. And when we discover
them, let them not simply pass by for they might not come by again. We lose the
chance and regret it for a lifetime. Despite some pains and hurts, when love
passes by again, open our hearts for this might be the one.
§
Learn from the lessons of the past.
Keep our heart open
to love again.
Wounds heal. Learn
to bounce back.
§
Be still. Listen. In the silence of life, hear
the whispers of God.
§
Some people stay in our hearts but only for
a while. Some stay a little longer. But all of them are not meant to stay in our
life … whether we like it or not.
§
The heart did not stop loving. It just got
tired of waiting.
The mind didn’t stop
remembering. It just got exhausted of hoping.
The soul never waiver
believing. It just got weary of praying for your return.
§
For someone who truly loves, there is always
a song to sing.
For someone who
believes, there is always a prayer.
For someone who
struggles, there is hope on the horizon.
For someone who
cries, there’s a morrow of smiles.
For someone who
prays, there is a God who listens.
§
From the depths of our brokenness, God picks
us up and embraces us. He fills us with His love to make us whole again.
§
We can look back at our past but only for a
while. Never linger.
Look back with
gratitude for all that has been.
As well, look back
to recall the lessons learned.
The way to go is
always to direct our sight forward to the morrow,
as we live in the
reality of today.
§
Never allow the weight of a heartbreak from
yesterday to slow you down. Leave it on the side of the road and continue your
journey with ease, and smile in your heart … onward to a joyful tomorrow.
§
Let our pious acts of faith overflow from our
mouths to our hearts and into our actions. Let our love of God manifest in the
way we treat other people.
§
Tears flow from the eyes silently.
Blood bleeds in the
heart invisibly.
The longing to be
together again.
The desire to hold
hands once again.
The prayer to forgive
each other and start all over again.
§
Forgiveness is not just a word. Forgiveness
is action.
It is an act of
reaching out to the other.
It is an act of
offering our hands once again.
It is an act of saying
the words “I forgive you.”
Forgiveness is being
able to love again.
§
God forgives us. We are called to do the
same to others.
§
O dearest Mother Mary, fill my heart with
your love that I may love your Son, Jesus, and no one else. Grace me with your “fiat”
that I may only do God’s will and live a life with a disposition that in God
alone is my trust. In Him alone is my strength. To Him alone I shall hope. With
Him alone I will find true happiness. Amen.
