THE SOUND OF SILENCE

(April 2, 2022)

 

The sound of silence is deafening –

           -         Amidst the cries of children who are hungry

-         Amidst the tears of prisoners calling out for justice

-         Amidst the woes of widows longing for truth

-         Amidst the homeless begging for shelter

-         Amidst the sick needing to be healed

-         Amidst a nation fighting for freedom and peace

          -     Amidst the heart of a friend needing to be loved.


The sound of silence is heard if we listen with our hearts.
